My Review on MLP: MYM-Ali-Conned
Greetings and salutations, my friends. This is your top-of-the-line film, TV show, and episode reporter here with another review. Today, I'm gonna give you guys my take of My Little Pony: Make Your Mark's "Ali-Conned". Here's the rundown of it: In the midst of trying to get Earth Ponies interested in a new community garden, Sunny Starscout discovers that the only time she seems to get everyone's attention is when she transforms into an Alicorn; even if her magic shows itself unintentionally. With her popularity as an Alicorn growing, Opaline Arcana sees this as the perfect opportunity to somehow corrupt Sunny in the hopes of recruiting her. Meanwhile, Pipp Petals has noticed that her popularity on social media has been waning. Desperate to get back on top, Pipp decides to investigate how one of Equestria's newest social media sensations was able to gain his success. The figure in question being Sparky Sparkeroni. After completing my review on "Portrait of a Princess", I decided

MLP Quick Thoughts: The Ongoing G4-G5 Fan War
Disclaimer: Before you read this essay, I’m kindly requesting you to respect my opinion the same way I respect yours. Also, please don't consider my thoughts on the subject matter a personal attack against fans of My Little Pony G5, especially the person that originally submitted the picture I'm talking about on Twitter (aka X). If my writing feels disrespectful or too one-sided, that’s completely unintentional and I apologize in advance. Who knew? One day, you're talking about potential G5-related essays that may never see the light of day; then you blink, and you're notified of an ongoing war (!) between fans of Friendship Is Magic (G4) and A New Generation (G5). People have so much time amidst the collapse of Western civilization that they engage in petty fights over which pony generation should prevail. Weird times they're a-goin'. Before I go any further, I must emphasize that I'm and will be a G4 fan. The fourth generation of MLP made such a huge impact on my life in many

My Review on MLP: MYM-Portrait of a Princess
Greetings and salutations, my friends. This is your top-of-the-line film, TV show, and episode reporter here with another review. Today, I'm gonna give you guys my take on My Little Pony: Make Your Mark's "Portrait of a Princess". Here's the rundown of it: It's a beautiful day, and nothing could be more exciting than the Zephyr Heights Pegasus Royals' Annual Portrait Day. The only problem is, whereas Pipp and Queen Haven are excited for Portrait Day, Zipp is far from thrilled and would rather do detective work. Particularly to focus on deciphering the warning left by Twilight Sparkle via Unity Crystal hologram. However, when Zipp gets an email telling her that a rare flower called an Ocean Lily is in bloom, she sees this as the perfect avenue for getting out of Portrait Day. She also drags Pipp along in the hopes of spending quality time with her, promising that finding the Ocean Lily is just what they need for their newest annual portrait. Unbeknownst to either of them, though,

My Review/Rant on MLP: MYM-Growing Pains
Greetings and salutations, my friends. This is your top-of-the-line film, TV show, and episode reporter here with another review. Today, I'm gonna give you guys my take on My Little Pony: Make Your Mark's "Growing Pains". Here's the rundown of it: After noticing countless mishaps caused by out-of-control Earth Pony magic, Hitch Trailblazer becomes concerned over the safety of Maretime Bay. So, as the town's sheriff, he enforces a law that prohibits Earth Ponies from using magic for the time being. This is particularly to the disappointment of Sunny Starscout, who believes that Earth Ponies should simply practice and not be given any restrictions. Meanwhile, to help Hitch focus more on his sheriff duties, Izzy Moonbow volunteers for a very important task: Be the temporary dragon babysitter of Sparky Sparkeroni. (Finally. An episode with a story I can actually comprehend and describe in words!) Considering my previous two reviews and the methods I'm using for analyzing each of

My Review on MLP: Make Your Mark-Izzy Does It
Greetings and salutations, my friends. This is your top-of-the-line film, TV show, and episode reporter here with another review. Today, I'm gonna give you guys my take of My Little Pony: Make Your Mark's "Izzy Does It". Outside of the fact that "Izzy Does It" is the show's 2nd episode, and the first part of "Chapter 2", I hardly think that a summary for it is necessary. Besides, I found that it'd be too difficult to explain what the episode is about. Anyway... After I did my review on "Chapter 1", I knew that doing an analysis of Chapter 2's "Izzy Does It" was gonna become a priority since I've been planning on reviewing more of MLP (G5) anyway. At the time I was making plans for critiquing this episode, though, and due to not being a fan of G5, I became concerned that whatever I'd say would be the same as my review on "Chapter 1". So, in order to ensure my statements wouldn't get repetitive, and be absolutely certain over what I thought of the episode, I watched "Izzy Does It"

My Review/Rant on MLP: Make Your Mark-Chapter 1
Greetings and salutations, my friends. This is your top-of-the-line film, TV show, and episode reporter here with another review. Today, I'm gonna give you give my take on the first “Chapter” of "My Little Pony: Make Your Mark". Here's the rundown of it: After the three pony tribes reunited in Friendship, and the Unity Crystals were pieced back together & reignited magic... You know what? I'm not even gonna bother giving a complete summary of what this episode is about. I already feel my brain going dead trying to do so, and considering how hard it is to explain the plot of this special in words, I don't think it'd be worth it. Anyway... Most people in the MLP fandom, if not all, obviously know by now that I'm not a big fan of My Little Pony's 5th generation. My feelings towards it were primarily negative since watching "My Little Pony: A New Generation", with my review on the latter being unusually controversial to others. Even today, I still consider A New Generation to be

MLP Quick Thoughts: What If G5 Wasn't G4's Sequel?
Disclaimer: This essay is about a what-if scenario. Please do not take it as a personal attack against G5's writers and fans. If you have a better idea of improving G5 by removing the G4 elements, I'm happy to discuss them in the comments below. Thank you. Unlike some fans of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, I don't hate the current generation of MLP. In fact, I consider certain aspects of G5 pretty good. However, FiM had many imperfections, and G5 isn't without its flaws either. This includes a bland protagonist, a pathetic and downright stupid villain, and a story that zig-zags between platforms like the MCU. Still, one of the main criticisms towards G5 is that it relies too heavily on the previous generation. In fact, Hasbro declared it a direct continuation of the story started with FiM. Unfortunately, this opened a can of worms, making many fans of G4 who gave a chance to G5 angry - including yours truly. It's one thing that now Twilight Sparkle is seen as an even more
